Getting ready for your anaesthetic

Some patients will be seen in clinic prior to the day of their operation by a pre-operative nurse. You may be asked to complete a screening questionnaire before you meet the nurse or anaesthetist. Depending on your age and level of fitness you may need to have some blood tests and other investigations before your operation.
