Dr Avlassevitch, Dmitri MD DA DEAA FRCA
Dr Avlassevitch qualified in 1997 from the University of Tartu in Estonia and has been practising in the UK since 2000. He undertook specialist training in anaesthetics in Estonia, the UK and USA. He spent 18 months as a Visiting Instructor at the University of Michigan specializing in liver transplant and major vascular surgery. He was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist at Frimley Park Hospital in 2010.
Dr Barakat, Ahmed
Dr Blackmore, Mark BSc MB BChir FRCA
Dr Blackmore trained in medicine at St Andrews and Cambridge. He went on to obtain his Anaesthetic and Intensive Care training London, the South East of England and Australia. He was appointed as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Frimley Park Hospital in 2002. His specialist Interests are in Intensive Care Medicine, Orthopaedic anaesthesia, General & Urological surgery.

Dr Dennison, Nicholas MBChB DipIMC DMCC FRCA RAMC
Dr Dennison qualified from Sheffield Medical school in 2006 and spent his early years as a doctor working in Sheffield and Doncaster. He went on to join the army and gained experience in primary healthcare in Dorset and emergency medicine in Bristol. He completed his anaesthetics training in Surrey and St George’s Hospital and undertook a fellowship in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia at St Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver. Dr Dennison has also undertaken advanced training in difficult airway management, vascular and bariatric anaesthesia. His special interests are in anaesthesia for orthopaedic, general, ENT and plastic surgery, intravenous anaesthesia and processed electroencephalography, regional and spinal anaesthesia, high risk and vascular anaesthesia. He has a keen interest in sport especially snow-sports and ocean rowing.
Dr Gudgeon, Judith MBBS, BSc , MRCP, FRCA
After qualifying at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990, Dr Gudgeon undertook jobs in general medicine and paediatrics and completed the MRCP exam. Anaesthetic training was split between South West Thames and Trent Deaneries before taking up an NHS consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital. Her specialist interests are cardiopulmonary exercise testing and counselling high risk patients, general & urological surgery and vascular anaesthesia. She undertakes anaesthesia for a broad range of surgical specialties.
Dr Kayani, Rahim
Dr Lewis, Stephen MBChB, BSc(Hons), EDIC, FRCA, FFICM, Cert Med Ed
Dr Lewis trained in medicine at the University of Bristol. He undertook specialist training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in London and the South West, and was appointed as a consultant at King’s College Hospital in 2013. He has an interest in education and is now the Faculty Tutor in Intensive Care Medicine at Frimley Park Hospital.
Dr. Narayanan, Madan MBBS, MD, FRCA, FCARCSI, EDIC, EDRA, FFICM
Dr. Narayanan qualified in 1998 from the Dr.MGR Medical University, India and completed Masters in Anaesthesiology from the reputed All India Institute of Medical Sciences, India. He underwent specialist training in anaesthetics both in India and the UK and has been practising in the UK since 2004. He has worked across major teaching hospitals in London including Guys & St.Thomas and Kings Hospitals with a specialist interest in Intensive care. Dr. Narayanan has also had specialist training in regional anaesthesia, liver transplant and upper GI surgery in UK. He was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist at Frimley Park Hospital in 2011. His specialist interests are in regional anaesthesia, intensive care and point of care ultrasound.

Dr Rassam qualified as a doctor in 1993 in Baghdad. He completed his specialist anaesthetic training in London including Guys & St.Thomas and Kings College and Evelina Children’s Hospitals. He obtained a fellowship in High-Risk anaesthesia at Royal Surrey County Hospital. Dr Rassam was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist at Frimley Park Hospital in 2015. His special interest are in high risk anaesthesia, cardiopulmonary exercise testing and vascular anaesthesia.
Dr. Slade, Valerie MB.BCh, FRCA, FFPMRCA
Dr Valerie Slade has been a Consultant Anaesthetist and Consultant in Chronic Pain Medicine at Frimley Park Hospital for seventeen years. She is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. She graduated from Bristol University in 1988 and trained as an anaesthetist at a variety of hospitals including Charing Cross Hospital and St George’s Hospital in London. As a Consultant she undertook training at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. She has a wide experience in the treatment of back and neck pain and is able to offer injection therapy, including radiofrequency denervation. She also has extensive experience with the treatment of neuropathic conditions and many other pain conditions. Dr Slade offers a realistic and practical approach to the treatment of chronic pain and recognises the importance of its treatment within a multi-disciplinary team offering access to excellent physiotherapists and psychotherapists.. Her special interests are in chronic pain, anaesthesia in remote locations and for emergency surgery.
